Parsian Fajr Sepehr Company, based on the requirements of National Building Regulations Sections 3 and 13, provides products that improve the fire safety of electrical cables, steel structures and metallic frameworks, preventing fire spread and reducing flammability.

Parsian Fajr Sepehr Company, in line with National Building Regulations section 3 and non-operational defense technical standards, supplies and applies KBS fire protective coating for cables, cable trays, ducts, wood and steel structures.

KBS protective cable coating contains water-based thermoplastic resins, non-combustible inorganic fibers, fillers, pigments and various fire-retardant chemicals.

During fire incidents and high heat transfer through power cables, preventing flame spread and reducing human and financial losses is a critical responsibility.

According to National Building Regulations, cable routing paths should be designed so that fire spread is prevented. Applying an insulating layer on cables for a defined duration to prevent flame transfer to other cable areas is considered a highly valuable measure.

These coatings are applied with approx. 203 millimeters thickness and protect cables against fire. When exposed to heat, endothermic reactions occur, releasing cooling gases that counter heat. These cooling gases create fire-retardant effects and slow down flame spread.

During fire exposure, a carbon insulation layer is formed which expands to almost twice the original thickness. Advantages of this product include cable flexibility after coating, high resistance in harsh weather conditions such as high humidity or direct sunlight, and long service life.

This product contains no toxic gases and is fully environmentally safe during installation and during fire exposure.

Coverage rate is 3 kg per square meter using brush or spray, and according to IEC60331 withstands 1100°C for 38 minutes.

This product is supplied in 25-kg containers. Another product of this manufacturer is fire protection mortar powder, certified UL1479 and DIN EN 13501-2, which withstands 1100°C for 4 hours.

Fire Protective Coating Features:

This coating is water-based and prevents flame transfer. It is applied by spray, brush or manually at 3 kg per square meter on electrical cables. Since in fire incidents flame spreads extremely fast and causes irreversible damage, KBS fire protective coating prevents flame spread on cables and provides sufficient time for fire suppression.

When exposed to heat, KBS coating expands and releases cooling gases that counter heat penetration, acting as a fire-retardant barrier.
