What is fire resistant mortar?
Fire resistant mortar, is a paste-like material with high resistance against fire, which is used to seal joints, gaps, the space around pipes and cables in structures.
This product is one of the key components in Firestop Systems, and by preventing the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases, it plays an important role in protecting human life and property.
Technical features of MORTAR fire resistant mortar:
- Fire resistant mortar (firestop) is in powder form and is water based.
- Suitable for places that have gaps under walls or floors such as risers and the space around cables
- Has UL1479 standard (fire resistance at 1100 degrees)
- Resistant to fire up to about 1100 degrees Celsius
- Has UL 1479 standard (penetration test and fire resistance)
- Easy application on walls and floors
- High adhesion to building materials (concrete, brick, gypsum and metal)
- Lightweight and without shrinkage or cracking after drying
- Sound and thermal insulation properties in addition to fire resistance
- Possibility of access and re-repair of cables after application
